🎯 Language and region settings allow you to customize the application display language, interface scaling, and application identifier, providing a more personalized user experience.

Function Description

FolkPatch provides several language and region-related setting options:

  • App Language: Set application display language, support following system or specifying language
  • DPI Customization: Adjust interface display density to adapt to different screen sizes and visual needs
  • App Title: Customize application name displayed in taskbar
  • Launcher Icon: Select different application icon styles
  • Desktop App Name: Customize name displayed for desktop shortcut

Setting Options

App Language

Set the display language used by the application interface.

Option Description:

  • Follow System: Use system language settings (Recommended)
  • Specify Language: Select from supported language list

Default Value: Follow System

Recommended Setting: Select your most familiar language. If system language is set to Chinese or English, it is recommended to select "Follow System".

Supported Languages:

  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • English
  • Japanese
  • More languages...

Tip

App language setting takes effect immediately without restarting the application. After changing language, all text in the interface will switch to the selected language.

DPI Customization

Adjust interface display density (Dots Per Inch), affecting element size and display ratio.

Preset Options:

  • Small: Display more content, smaller elements
  • Default: System recommended setting
  • Large: Larger elements, easy to view

Default Value: System Default DPI

Note

Changing DPI setting takes effect immediately without restarting the application.

App Title

Customize the application name displayed in recent taskbar and multitasking view.

Available Title Options:

  • FolkPatch: Default title
  • FPatch: Short version
  • APatch Folk: Emphasize APatch derivative version
  • APatchX: APatch Extended Version (Hidden)
  • KernelPatch: Kernel Patch
  • SuperSU: Classic Root Manager
  • FolkSU: Version emphasizing SU style
  • Superuser: Generic Superuser
  • SuperPatch: Super Patch
  • MagicPatch: Magic Patch

Default Value: FolkPatch

Launcher Icon

Select the application icon style displayed in the desktop launcher.

Available Options:

  • Default Icon: Official FolkPatch branding icon.
  • Alternative Icon: A minimalist blue robot icon.

Features:

  • Native Android Icon Adaptation: Now supports native Android Themed Icons. The icon color will dynamically change with the system theme color to maintain desktop visual consistency.

Tip

Different icon styles can help you have a fresh feeling, and it works even better with system theme color adaptation!

Desktop App Name

Customize the application name displayed for desktop shortcut.

Available Names:

  • FolkPatch: Official name
  • FolkSU: Version emphasizing SU style

Default Value: FolkPatch

FAQ

Q: After changing language, some text still displays in English?

A: This may be caused by incomplete translation. You can help improve by:

  1. Submitting missing translations on GitHub
  2. Reporting translation issues in project community

Q: Does DPI setting affect performance?

A: No. DPI only adjusts the size and ratio of display elements, and does not affect application performance or resource usage.

Q: Does changing App Title affect application function?

A: No. App Title is only the display name and does not affect any function. You can change back to default value at any time.

All language and title settings will be persistently stored, ensuring settings remain unchanged after application restart.
