Select a UI theme template, and configure night mode, system dynamic colors (Material You), adaptive color generation, etc.

1. UI Theme Selection

  • DashboardUI (Default): A dashboard layout combining features from Focus and Circle, displaying hardware information such as storage and device status, with card wallpaper support. The new default home layout.
  • StatsUI: Statistics-focused layout with clear data presentation. When StatsUI is selected, you can further switch the top layout between list and grid styles.
  • GridUI / KernelSU: Grid layout, supporting high customization (card background, status icon/text/mode label visibility).
  • FocusUI: Layout optimized for large screens and hardware information display, dual card design, supports per-card independent wallpaper.
  • CircleUI: Rounded card design with module and superuser statistics components at the top.
  • ListUI / Default: Classic pure text list layout, supports enabling the "Info Area Icons" toggle for iconified information display (the old SignUI has been merged here).

2. Core Color Settings

1. Night Mode

Provides dark theme to reduce eye fatigue in low light environments. OLED screens can save power.

  • Follow System: Automatically syncs system dark/light settings, real-time response, no restart required. Default Off, recommended On.
  • Manually Enable: Effective when Follow System is off, can be manually toggled. Default On.
  • Discrete Slider: When enabled, tick marks are displayed on the slider track in settings for precise adjustment. Default Off.

2. System Dynamic Color (Material You)

Based on Android 12+ (API 31) Material3 system, automatically extracts and generates coordinated color schemes from wallpapers.

  • Default Off, recommended On for Android 12+ devices.
  • When enabled, custom theme colors will be ignored. Enabling on lower version systems has no effect.

3. Adaptive Color Generation

FolkPatch supports an adaptive color generation system that can automatically generate a complete coordinated color scheme based on the selected color:

  • Default Mode: Uses system preset color generation rules, no manual intervention required.
  • Custom Mode: You can further select the Color Standard (color basis of the generation rules) and Color Style (hue/saturation/brightness tendency), with real-time preview and application.

The color generation mode is mutually exclusive with system dynamic color and custom theme color—choose one of the three.

3. Recommended Configuration Schemes

  • Auto Adaptation (Recommended): Enable "Night Mode Follow System" + Enable "System Dynamic Color", fully adapt to system theme and wallpaper.
  • Manual Control: Disable "Night Mode Follow System" + Manually toggle "Night Mode" + Disable "System Dynamic Color", use custom theme color or adaptive color generation.
  • Pure Night: Enable "Night Mode Follow System" + Disable "System Dynamic Color" + Match dark custom theme color.
  • Material You Native Experience: Enable "Night Mode Follow System" + Enable "System Dynamic Color" + Set application background coordinated with system wallpaper.
