If you encounter failure when trying to patch the kernel, or fail to boot/features fail after patching, this is usually not FolkPatch's problem, but because your kernel or device has some special restrictions.
Pitfalls of Specific Models and Kernels
Some models (e.g., Redmi Note 10 Pro, etc.) have special kernel structures, or official/third-party kernel developers used non-standard packaging methods when building.
For such devices, simple direct patching often fails, or leads to kernel corruption after patching.
Solution: AnyKernel3 Custom Image
If you encounter such compatibility issues, it is recommended to take the following steps:
- Use AnyKernel3: You need to use a custom AnyKernel3 image to complete patching and flashing.
- Manual Patching: Extract your original kernel, and use AnyKernel3's script to repack and inject.
- Consult Developer: Check if your kernel has an AnyKernel3 flashable zip customized specifically for FolkPatch or similar patches (like KernelPatch).
Reminder
Passing the environment is important, but you also need to understand the characteristics of your device and kernel. Don't patch blindly, read more documentation and feedback from the device community.
