FolkPatch is dedicated to providing stable kernel patch support for the majority of Android users. To ensure you get the best experience, please confirm if your kernel version is within the supported range before installation.
Supported Kernel Versions
Currently, FolkPatch's compatibility range covers the vast majority of mainstream Android devices:
- Minimum Supported Version: Linux Kernel 3.18
- Maximum Supported Version: Linux Kernel 6.15
How to Check Kernel Version?
You can check your device kernel version in several ways:
- System Settings: Go to
Settings->About Phone->Kernel Version. - Terminal Command: Enter
uname -aorcat /proc/versionin Termux or ADB Shell. - FolkPatch App: The current kernel version information is usually also displayed on the FolkPatch home page.
What If Not in Range?
- Lower than 3.18: Due to outdated kernels lacking necessary modern kernel features, FolkPatch cannot provide support.
- Higher than 6.15: With the continuous update of the Linux kernel, we may need time to adapt to the latest kernel versions. If you are an early adopter, please pay attention to official updates.
Note
Even if the kernel version is between 3.18 - 6.15, some manufacturers' custom kernels (such as closed-source drivers or special architectures) may still have compatibility differences. If you encounter problems, please refer to the Patch Failed page.
